You cant play a game then later when you cant make the next game go back and give the other guy the tie, surely if smurf cant make the game against Terri its terri who gets the w/o not Brian.

This makes a mockery of the rules!!

I honestly didn't know that Smurf and Brian played one another. I just got a message saying Smurf had given Brian the tie.

Wouldn’t be the first time this happen in this league!!

I don't see what the big deal is? Somebody played without checking the finals date and then gave the tie away before the next round, then that player lost anyway.

If you and Angus don't allow it then why is Angus saying (what's the big deal)

So just to clarify: are you allowed to play a game, win that game decide you cant make finals so give the person the tie that has been knocked out!!

Fucking farce of a competition if that's the case and if its allowed then I don't want affiliated with this.

I think Angus is saying "what's the big deal" because no rules were broken. Smurf gave Brian the w/o so he went on to play Terri. Isn't that what's meant to happen?

Colin it’s not a farce u need to get ur facts correct before jumping to conclusions!!!!!

I didn't jump to conclusions, if the score is there in black and white how's that jumping to conclusions? so don't you jump to conclusions that I was jumping to conclusions!!

What has now become apparent is people on here are willing to allow cheating!!

I will be posting my concerns on the SPA website if I don't get an answer on here from our committee in the near future.

No cheating took place, Smurf didn't play Brian as far as I'm aware.

Angus,

I am still waiting on the rule here!! Does MDPL allow 2 players to play for example: Player A to win 6-0 then tell player B to go and play the next round as Player A cant make the game for whatever reason?

This is the scenario that was posted on this site so I have my facts perfectly, I understand it was now a typo but this was my point is this allowed?

Regards.

The rules of the IM are 'No', however it did happen once before in the past a few years ago... Think it was deek 5 - 6 eck to qualify and eck won then he realised (on the same night) he couldn't make the finals. On that occasion I allowed the result to be reversed as it was a genuine mistake.
Now I'm not saying what I did was right for the rules of IM but I allowed it on that occasion.
I also extend deadline dates to accommodate people, I shouldn't allow it, but I come and go. You know me Colin, I always try to help people out when I can.
